FIRE VR — EPI Industry

Train your First Response Team members on fire risks specific to industrial environments. Warehouses, production lines, chemical storage: your trainees practice in realistic conditions, in complete safety.

Immersive environment

Faithfully reproduced industrial environments

The FIRE VR EPI Industry module immerses your trainees in realistic industrial environments where they face the fire risks specific to your industry sector.

Warehouses and storage areas

Storage racking, pallets, cardboard boxes, raw materials. The environment replicates the fire risks associated with the accumulation of combustible materials and industrial storage conditions.

Production lines

Machine tools, conveyors, industrial workstations, electrical switchboards. The scenarios replicate fire outbreaks linked to production equipment: motor overheating, short circuits, mechanical friction.

Chemical storage areas

Chemical product storage, drums, tanks, ATEX zones. The trainee faces Class B and D fires requiring specific extinguishing agents and reinforced safety procedures.

Features

Training tailored to industrial requirements

The EPI Industry module offers advanced features to address the specific challenges of fire safety in industrial environments.

Industry-specific fire risks

Chemical product fires, flammable liquid fires, production line fires, warehouse storage fires. Each scenario replicates the specific risks of industrial environments with striking realism.

Specialized extinguishers

Training on extinguishers suited to industrial settings: CO2, ABC powder, and foam. The trainee learns to identify the fire class and select the appropriate extinguishing agent.

Industrial emergency protocols

The trainee is trained on emergency protocols specific to industrial sites: triggering the alarm, securing equipment, shutting off power supplies, calling emergency services, and evacuating the area.

Advanced trainer interface

The trainer has full control of the session from their tablet: industrial scenario selection, fire intensity, environmental conditions (ventilation, spread), real-time monitoring, and training report.

Scenarios

Scenarios tailored to industrial risks

Class A

Cardboard fire in a warehouse

Fire outbreak on solid materials stored on racking. Intervention with a water spray extinguisher.

Class B

Flammable liquid fire

Ignition of a spilled solvent in a production area. Intervention with a CO2 or foam extinguisher.

Electrical

Electrical switchboard fire

Short circuit and fire outbreak in an industrial electrical panel. Power cut-off and CO2 intervention.

Class D

Metal fire

Ignition of metal shavings in a machining area. Use of a Class D specific extinguishing agent.

Chemical

Chemical storage area fire

Fire outbreak involving chemical products. Identification of hazard pictograms and selection of a compatible extinguishing agent.

Multi-hazard

Spread scenario

Rapidly spreading fire requiring quick decision-making: intervene or evacuate and alert emergency services.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about EPI Industry VR

What industrial environments are available in the simulator?

The EPI Industry module offers several environments: a storage warehouse with racking systems, a production zone with machines and manufacturing lines, a technical room with electrical switchboards, and a chemical storage area. Each environment has its own risks and tailored fire scenarios.

Does the training cover chemical risks (ATEX, hazardous materials)?

Yes, the EPI Industry module includes scenarios involving chemical products and specific risk areas. The trainee learns to identify hazard pictograms, choose a compatible extinguishing agent, and apply safety procedures adapted to ATEX zones and hazardous materials.

Can the scenarios be customized for our industrial site?

Yes, IRWINO offers a customization service for environments and scenarios. We can adapt the settings, risks, and procedures to closely match the reality of your industrial site. Contact us to learn more about customization options.

How many trainees can be trained per day with EPI Industry VR?

An individual handling session lasts between 5 and 10 minutes. Including rotations and debriefings, a trainer can train between 10 and 15 trainees per half-day. Over a full day, it is possible to train up to 25-30 people by alternating theory and VR practice.
