FIRE VR Virtualized Extinguishers, designed, developed and manufactured in France
For almost two years the FIRE VR fire simulator had existed and our clients had been asking us to add extinguishers, when we found a technical trick to make them work with our wireless META QUEST VR headsets.
The Virtualized Extinguishers® were about to be born.
Here is a brief look at how we went from a need, a vision, to creating objects that bridge the gap between the user's hand and their learning in virtual reality.
Adrien Perrugault, our creative director, took charge of functional design and product design in co-innovation with the UX design and real-time 3D application development teams.
An Agile development approach enabled the team to find solutions meeting an extremely demanding specification: creating an innovative product while combining aesthetic standards, ergonomics, market disruption, perfectly realistic use, anti-fragility and environmental frugality.
Birth of the Virtualized Extinguishers®
It took 5 months, several major evolutions and numerous iterations before the Virtualized Extinguishers® CO2 and Water Spray could finally accompany trainers and trainees in practising the right decision-making under realistic fire conditions.
Entirely designed, developed and manufactured in Guyancourt (78), the IRWINO Virtualized Extinguishers® are pure Made In France products.
